About

Filip Jovanović approaches painting as a structured process of exploration, where each image is carefully constructed rather than spontaneously formed. His work is driven by a need to organize complexity — to give form to layered ideas without reducing their ambiguity.

Rather than presenting fixed meanings, his paintings invite interpretation, allowing psychological presence and narrative elements to unfold gradually. This balance between control and openness defines his visual language, creating works that remain precise in execution while leaving space for individual perception.

Alongside his painting practice, Filip has also developed a distinctive approach to illustration, where his sense of narrative and visual language remains clearly recognizable.
